Project Overview

The works included seven new hydrants, two fire hose reels, a new H-Pattern Assembly, two 4.5kL water tanks, and a diesel-powered pressure pump set. Additionally, we upgraded the existing water supply infrastructure with a dual water meter assembly. Full excavation, trench base compaction testing, and backfilling were undertaken, with quality assurance and safety at the forefront through daily Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), toolbox talks, permit acquisitions, and pre-start checks on all machinery.

Despite operating through the region’s wet season, the project was successfully delivered ahead of schedule and on budget, with no safety incidents recorded. During the course of works, our team identified flaws in the original design and worked collaboratively with stakeholders to propose and implement modifications that aligned with current fire safety and plumbing standards. A comprehensive Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) was developed and executed, ensuring all installations met compliance requirements and allowing for a seamless handover to the client. The project stands as a testament to our team’s commitment to safety, quality, and efficient delivery under challenging conditions.
